Monica Gonzalez is the Senior Director of Programs Administration for Epilepsy Alliance Florida. She left a career in international logistics management to join Epilepsy Alliance Florida as a volunteer when her youngest daughter was diagnosed with the condition in 2011. She was offered a permanent position with the agency shortly afterwards as prevention & education coordinator and quality assurance specialist. Her skills in community engagement, partnership building, project management and a passion for the cause afforded her the opportunity to take on various roles at the agency. Prior roles include epilepsy advocate, supervision of the agency’s community resource specialists providing statewide epilepsy awareness and education as well as navigation program project director.
